4 Local Celebrity Exes Who Worked On Projects Together After Breaking Up

The showbiz industry is a small world, and this means that celebrities you never thought would pair up for a project actually end up working together—even ex-boyfriends and girlfriends! Here are four couples who prove that things don't have to be *awkward* just because they were each other's ~old flames~: 

1. Anne Curtis and Richard Gutierrez 

The couple dated back in 2006! Anne was Richard's first showbiz girlfriend and he was reportedly so serious about her that he even asked permission from Anne's ex-boyfriend Oyo Boy Sotto before courting her! Their relationship lasted for a year.

Fast forward to 2019 and Anne is now happily married to Erwan Heussaff. Richard is engaged to Sarah Lahbati and they have two adorable kids together. In June 2019, Anne and Richard reunited as hosts for the Binibining Pilipinas competition and coronation night!  

2. Angelica Panganiban and Carlo Aquino 

We're all aware that the couple was in a long-term relationship before they broke up—twice—because of third parties. In 2018, they reunited for a movie called Exes Baggage,  where they ironically played exes as well! After the film came out, fans hoped that they would get back together, but the former love team is currently not on speaking terms. 

3. Solenn Heussaff and Derek Ramsay 

The pair were in a four-year relationship before they decided to part ways in 2006. Nine years after their break up, Solenn and Derek starred in the film Love Is Blind. During a press conference for the film in 2016, they both said that they wondered if there would be any ~awkwardness~ between them before shooting. Derek shared, "Noong first day na papasok ako, parang ni-nenerbyos ako, na parang, 'Is there gonna be awkwardness? Is it going to be weird?' I didn't feel both of those things. We both just hit it off, nagkwekwentuhan na kami kaagad, as if nothing ever happened." 

Solenn is now happily married to Nico Bolzico, while Derek is currently single. 

4. Coleen Garcia and Enrique Gil 

Coleen and Enrique briefly dated in 2011, with Coleen even calling their relationship "puppy love!" They broke up before starring in the teen TV Series Good Vibes. At present, Coleen has already tied the knot with Billie Crawford, while Enrique is in a long-term relatioship with love team partner Liza Soberano.
