WATCH: Fil-Am Broadway Actress Eva Noblezada Gets Ready With Vogue

Filipino-American Broadway actress Eva Noblezada gets ready for a show in Vogue Magazine’s latest IGTV feature. Eva, who was nominated for Best Actress in a Musical at yesterday’s Tony Awards, says she didn’t expect to be nominated for her role as Eurydice in the Greek mythology-based Hadestown.

“It’s the first original role that I’ve developed character-wise, which is very special. To bring in the aspect of myself and the aspect of mythology and take it to a level and make it epic, that challenged me as an actor and as a human. I’m very, very blessed.”

Prior to the role, she played Kim in Miss Saigon and Eponine in Les Miserables.

In Vogue’s IGTV clip, she gets ready in her chic New York apartment, doing her own makeup for the Broadway.com Audience Choice Awards. She won Favorite Leading Actress in a Musical for Hadestown at the fan-voted awards night.

After the ceremony, she walked to the Hadestown theater and got rained on along the way! But as it is on Broadway, the show must go on—she made it just in time to prep and warm up for the musical.
