Iza, Ian, And Bea Dish About Love And Long-Term Relationships
True to their teleserye's title, A Love to Last, veteran actors Ian Veneracion and Iza Calzado were asked during their finale press conference on August 29 about keeping successful long-term relationships.
"A secret to love that could last talaga is love, respect, trust, and understanding and communication. Compromise din," said Iza. The 35-year-old actress, who has been in a relationship with entrepreneur Ben Wintle for the last six years, also added: "Expectations shouldn't be so high kasi kapag hindi na-meet, [the relationship could fail] so you have to manage expectations."
Ian, 42, has been married for 20 years to his engineer wife, Pam. "I think it's all about respect, respecting each others' individuality, and also a bottomless pit of patience on the side of my wife," said the actor with a laugh. "Sobrang mapagpasensiya siya."
The question thrown at Bea Alonzo, however, was given a twist as she was quizzed on what she would do if she had to marry a separated man with kids, just like her character, Andeng.
"Yung character ni Andrea 'di niya pinangarap malagay sa ganitong sitwasyon because we all know it's not an easy situation. Maraming kang kailangang tiisin, maraming kailangang harapin na haharapin mo forever kasi mayroon siyang tatlong anak, mayroon siyang ex-wife na ina ng mga anak niya, so mahirap siya sagutin. Mahirap din magsalita nang tapos pero sa ngayon parang sana, huwag."
