Jessy Mendiola And Luis Manzano Plan On Living By The Beach When They Retire

'We want to be there by the sea, have a very simple life.'

Jessy Mendiola and Luis Manzano opened up about a lot of things while guesting on Slater Young and Kryz Uy's podcast.

The newlyweds talked about their love story, Jessy discovering her passion for vlogging, and their shared hobby of scuba diving.

"It's really a whole new world, ika nga, down there," Luis said.

"Once you dive and once you see how beautiful it really is underwater, you realize talaga na even if you're a beach lover na yes, maganda, you go to Boracay, you go to Bantayan, ang ganda tingnan. But there's so much more beauty underneath. Hayop. Hayop talaga."

In the podcast, Luis shared that he started scuba diving 20 years ago, and later on influenced Jessy to love the activity when they were dating.

The couple frequently goes to Anilao, Batangas, to go diving. Because they love the ocean so much, they actually plan on retiring by the beach.

Slater: "Nakakapag-dive pa kayo ngayon? O wala na?"

Jessy: "Kailan ba last?"

Luis: "Mga a month ago."

Jessy: "We try. Actually, sa sobrang adik naming mag-dive, we're planning to retire there."

Luis: "Oo, we're planning to retire by Anilao. We're planning on building a simple home by Anilao na when Father Time knocks even more sa mga pintuan namin, we want to be there by the sea, make our money off the sea, have a very simple life."

Jessy revealed that they had plans of retiring by the sea even before they got married.

Luis: "We have sort of a mini headstart, if you will, na we already have that plan of having our retirement home by the beach na."

Jessy: "We've been planning this even before we got married. As in, gusto [namin] talaga, we knew na gusto talaga namin na sa tabing-dagat kami mag-retire."

Just one look at Jessy's Insta and you can see just how often she and Luis visit the beach. Jessy has vlogged about her love for diving and she and Luis have even done underwater photography.
