Nina Dobrev and Nikki Reed have one more thing in common apart from playing cult-favorite vampires: the seriously sexy Ian Somerhalder. Fans of the The Vampire Diaries (TVD) should know all too well that Nina and Ian turned their on-screen romance into the real deal in 2010 but broke up to everyone's surprise in 2013. The exes, however, still had to play lovers on their hit TV show.

A year after his breakup, Ian had a whirlwind romance with another vampTwilight's Nikki Reed. The two wed in 2015 and in the same year Nina suddenly made her exit from TVD.

Sounds complicated, right? But it really isn't.

Their love triangle was never legit to begin with, as proven by THREE Instagram posts of Nina, Nikki, and Ian during a catch-up dinner they recently had. ICYDK, Nina visited the set of TVD to reprise her role as Elena for one episode of the final season. And her comeback was one that led to her 'first real dinner' with her ex-boyfriend's wife.

"After years of websites pretending these two badass ladies knew each other well and baseless, false information of back stabbing and hatred from low-brow websites filled the minds and hearts of fans... They finally were able to get together for their first real dinner. Let's stop spreading hate everyone, there's already too much of that right now in our world. Join in on the love. Only love herealways has been, always will be." Ian captioned on his IG.

And as Nina put it on her post: "Can't believe how time flies. Farewell dinner with team Somereed! So good catching up with these goofballs. All *heart emoji*."

Nikki, on her part, went on to write a lengthy post on how everyone should finally end all the false rumors pitting her and Nina against each other:

"So here's to putting an end to all those fake stories of on-set jealousy, betrayal, made-up-friendships lost & women hating women. Because at the end of the day, that's what this is about: teaching girls that you have to hate other girls only breeds a generation of women who believe you have to hate other women."

Seriously, how mature can you guys get? <3 <3 <3
