Sen. Grace Poe On Lovi Poe's Network Transfer: 'I'm sure Papa's very proud of you'
It's one heck of an *exciting* week for Lovi Poe. Following the announcement that she's ~offcially~ moved to the Kapamilya network on September 12, the actress graced the ASAP Natin 'To stage for the first time on September 19.
Lovi received a warm welcome from her fellow Kapamilya celebs including Coco Martin, Iza Calzado, Janine Gutierrez, Paulo Avelino, Sunshine Dizon, Ogie Alcasid, Martin Nievera, Zanjoe Marudo, Jodi Sta. Maria, Piolo Pascual, and Sen. Grace Poe.
Sen. Poe, who's Lovi's half-sister through their dad, the late Fernando Poe Jr., said: "Congratulations, dear Lovi. I'm sure Papa's very proud of you. My special wish is that you actually make an action film. Kayang-kaya mo yan kasi disiplinado ka, very fit, at alam ko magaling ka rin sumuntok."
The senator added, "In my heart, you're always pamilya. Continue to make us proud. I love you."
In an interview, ASAP Natin 'To co-host Eric Santos asked Lovi what it means to be a Kapamilya. Lovi responded, "I think it's the essence of feeling at home wherever you are. Kahit saan ka mang parte ng mundo, yung hindi ka nag-iisa at meron kang kapamilya."
She added, "At maraming maraming salamat sa napakgandang ginawa ninyong presentation kanina, I wasn't expecting that. Kanina naiiyak na ko but I was controlling myself and I was like, yung first tapak ko sa ASAP e talagang baka pumasok ako sa stage na luhaan in a very nice way."
Following her appearance on ASAP Natin 'To, Lovi updated her Insta and wrote,
"Fresh off the ASAP stage. Overwhelmed with gratitude. All I can say is…Thank you for the L.O.V.E."
Now that Lovi has officially joined ABS-CBN, she's set to star in the Philippine adaptation of the hit K-drama Flower of Evil alongside her leading man Piolo. The actress is also starring in the international movie The Chelsea Cowboy alongside Alex Pettyfer and Poppy Delevigne.
