Toni Gonzaga, who gave birth to her firstborn son Seve on September 30, 2016, has just opened up about her secret battle with postpartum depression. The Kapamilya star's pregnancy was a surprise to her and hubby Paul Soriano as Toni was slated to have starred in a teleserye alongside Piolo Pascual in early 2016.

Toni admitted in the ABS-CBN morning show Magandang Buhay that she was overwhelmed with the physical changes she experienced during her pregnancy. Candidly speaking about her struggle along with sister Alex Gonzaga, Toni revealed that she gained a total of 36 pounds when she was pregnant. She was happy to say, though, that she's back to her normal weight, 100 lbs.

Alex, however, was quick to call her sister's pains as "OA (over-acting)." In jest, she said: "Ang OA niya. Hindi siya kumakain, bothered na bothered."She then recalled an instance when Toni had Alex undress in front of a mirror to compare their bodies: "Sabi niya [Toni]: 'Tingnan mo 'yung katawan mo, pang-dalaga. 'Yung akin, wala na, pang-nanay na.' Ang OA talaga! Sabi ko: 'Talaga namang nanay ka.' Ang OA niya."

Toni then pointed out that her sister would tease her with the other changes happening to her bodythe discoloration on her underarms and the dark circles under her eyes, for instance:

While this whole exchange seems to be a light-hearted banter between two sisters, one must take note that postpartum depression is a real struggle that should be taken SERIOUSLY. Click here for more information about postpartum depression.
