Your Complete Guide To The Loveable Siblings On 'True Beauty'
Since it started airing, True Beauty has become our favorite stress-reliever and weekly source of kilig, so it makes us sad to know that we only have two more episodes left. :( You feel me, right? I just can't imagine a Thursday and Friday night without our favorite webtoon-based drama! Before we cry our eyes out for the finale, we'd like to shine the spotlight on some of the best characters in the show.
Im Ju Kyung (Moon Ga Young), Lee Suho (Cha Eun Woo), and Han Seojun (Hwang In Yeop) had us whipped with their storyline but we can't forget about the people they come home to after school! There are the adorable parents of Ju Kyung (Jang Hye Jin and Park Ho San) and the warm and caring mom of Seojun (Park Hyun Jung)—and ofc, the quirky siblings of the two. Everyone, meet the actors behind Im Ju Young, Im Hee Kyung, and Han Go Woon:
Kim Min Gi as Im Ju Young
The character: As Ju Kyung's younger brother, he's the most playful in the bunch! He's always full of tricks up his sleeve not just at home, but also in school. Remember the times when he would bug Go Woon and confess to her how much he likes her? We also can't forget his iconic line, "Oh, my eyes! Oh shit!", which he blurts out every time he sees a pair go all lovey-dovey, LOL! Ju Young may always annoy his sis but he knows when to get serious: Like when he questioned Suho's sincerity towards her, and when he got into a fight after hearing people badmouthing his noona!
The actor: Did you know that True Beauty is Kim Min Gi's first-ever drama? It doesn't seem like it because he's just so fantastic in his role that you could easily assume that he's been doing this for years! The 18-year-old is totes adorbs on- and off-screen, and you can see it on his Instagram account.
Lim Se Mi as Im Hee Kyung
The character: If there's one strong, independent woman in True Beauty that we admire, it's Hee Kyung eonnie! She's an ace in her career but she also knows when to have fun and just order fried chicken (or have a drink or two) on a Friday night. She also doesn't let anyone control her, and fights for what she believes is right. We also can't get enough of how she doesn't hesitate in showing how much she loves her ~*grapefruit*~, aka Han Joon Woo (Oh Eui Shik).
The actress: Im Se Mi may appear be a fresh face for some (it's her youthful appeal!) but she has already appeared in a handful of K-dramas, including Heartstrings, That Winter The Wind Blows, Shopaholic Louis, Mr. Sunshine, and My Secret, Terrius. If you want to see more of her, you can subscribe to the actress' YouTube channel.
Yeo Joo Ha as Han Go Woon
The character: Go Woon has the voice of an angel! As Seojun's dongsaeng (younger sister), she's always on the looking out for her oppa (older brother). She used to have insecurities because of her physical appearance, but with the help of Ju Kyung, Go Woon found her confidence again and continues to shine on her own. No wonder Ju Young is head over heels with our girl!
The actress: Just like Min Gi, True Beauty is also Yeo Joo Ha's first K-drama stint! We can't wait to see more of her in new projects because we can all agree that she's a star. Also, can we just admire how pretty Joo Ha is? She's a good dancer, too! Watch her bust out some moves in her dance cover of Taemin's "Move" right here.
