You’re probably very particular when it comes to your skin or hair care, and that’s great! But do you pay as much attention when it comes to intimate care? It’s a very sensitive area, and you should be picky with the products you use down there to avoid irritation and infection. But with so many options out there, how can you tell which product is best for you?
This is why we’ve pulled together a primer to give you everything you need to know (and use!) for your vagina’s sake. Read on:
Sanitary napkins
Sanitary napkins, or feminine pads, are meant to be stuck inside your undies to absorb menstrual discharge. Pads allow you to better monitor your flow so you know when to change them. They also come in different thicknesses and sizes, so you’ll find a pad that’s perfect for your flow.
Tampons
Tampons are cylindrical cotton sponges that are inserted into the vagina to absorb menstrual discharge. Tampons can be very convenient, especially if you’re doing a lot of physical activities (including swimming!), or if you need to wear tight-fitting clothes. Just remember to change your tampon every four to six hours, and you’ll be fine.
Pantyliners
Pantyliners are slimmer than pads and are designed to absorb wetness from sweat, urine leaks, and normal vaginal discharge. They can be worn daily, especially if you don’t want your discharge staining your undies. Some women also wear pantyliners with tampons for extra protection, especially when their menstrual flow is really heavy. Don’t forget to change it at least twice a day to keep that all-day fresh feeling!
Ultimately, it’s up to you to pick the product that makes you feel fresh down there. Always wear CAREFREE® Breathable Pantyliners so you’ll be protected against stains and leaks, helping you feel clean and confident every day. Don't let those dyahe days stop you from being on top, CGs!
