Living your best life isn’t always perfect/smooth sailing. It’s hectic and can even come with its own challenges and pains. Take it from one our queens, Pia Wurtzbach. The model, actress, and former Miss Universe is also a content creator and podcaster, with each of these roles keeping her calendar hectic and full.

If you’re thinking this kind of lifestyle comes with some challenges and pains, Pia might just agree with you. She used to be a self-professed workaholic, and her busy lifestyle would take its toll on her well-being.

“We really can’t deny it, being a multi-hyphenate means that every minute really counts,” she says. “That’s why it’s so important that my mental, physical and emotional well-being are all aligned.”

As she recalls some moments when she had to go through pains that challenged her, Pia shares that she grew used to the tiis-ganda habits she formed during her pageant queen days, working herself so hard that she didn’t notice the effect her daily hustle was having on her body. It also took its toll on her emotional and mental health, leaving her feeling far from her best self.

To get back to the best version of herself, Pia decided she needed to be more aware of what her body was telling her. Instead of ignoring the pain in the name of the hustle, she chose to face it head-on and get rid of it—fast. “I had to keep telling myself that my value is not tied to my title, to my hustle, and so on. This mindset made it easier for me to really pay attention to my needs,” she explains.

“The sooner I figure out what my body needs, the sooner I can bounce back.” For Pia, being able to relieve her pains quickly plays a large role in becoming the
#BestMe. She shares that she needs to feel like there isn’t anything holding her back because she thrives on being able to plan ahead. Making a to-do list and crossing every item out is what helps her feel more fulfilled and driven to take on the next task.

“But realistically, there are days when you feel pains, especially as a woman. Some of us have that every month, and I can’t have that holding me back,” she says. “I’m the type pa naman, and I’m sure there will be a lot of women who will relate to this, where I can’t move. Natitigil ang araw ko, yung mundo ko. Every month, natitigil siya because of my period. And it’s not just the period eh. It’s any kind of pain that could stop you from reaching your goals for the day. For me, one of the worst pains to experience during work-heavy days is migraine”.

For busy days when she has to deal with Dysmenorrhea and even migraines, Pia turns to Ibuprofen (Medicol Advance 400). “It’s just with me all the time because it helps me to move on fast so I can keep going, keep doing my workouts, or keep doing the job that I need to do at work and at home.”

Ibuprofen (Medicol Advance 400) is clinically proven to provide relief in as fast as five minutes, faster than Mefenamic Acid, Paracetamol, and ordinary Ibuprofen tablets. No matter the type of pain—migraine, tension headache, toothache, dysmenorrhea, or back pain—Ibuprofen (Medicol Advance 400) can be taken. It also lasts up to eight hours.

“What I love is that it works very fast. That’s important to me because I don’t have the time to wait for half an hour for medicine to kick in,” she shares. “Usually, when I start feeling the pain, ayoko na siyang tiisinParang I want it to go away as soon as possible, so I love Ibuprofen (Medicol Advance 400) because it works so fast. And to me, less than 10 minutes, okay na ako.

"That’s so important to me, that I get back on my feet right away and I’m able to do the things that I have to do.
So for whatever reason, whether it’s period pains, migraine from working all the time—whatever pain it is I’m feeling, if I can take Ibuprofen (Medicol Advance 400) for it, ‘yun, it’s been a life-saver talaga so far."

Being more attentive to her body’s needs, especially when it comes to pain, has done a lot to help Pia feel like her “#BestMe” again. She’s thriving more than ever and has the confidence she needs to stay on top of her game. “I feel like since I’ve had a change in my mindset, I feel so much better every day and I’m able to show up as my #BestMe at work.”

She adds: “Life is short so we need to make the most out of it! Going after our goals also means taking care of ourselves the best way that we can.”

For different types of pain, take Ibuprofen (Medicol Advance 400) every 8 hours or as needed. Best taken with meals. If symptoms persist, consult your doctor.
