Emma Stone Is The World's Highest-Paid Actress

Remember when everyone and their mothers couldn't shut up about La La Land? The movie had its fair share of critics, true, but a lot of people appreciated its inspirational yet realistic message. 

So much so that at the global box office, La La Land earned $445.3 million. Many raved about Emma Stone's portrayal of Mia, an aspiring actress and barista in Hollywood. And it looks like a lot of her hard work paid off because, according to Forbes' 12-month scoring period, she earned $26 million before taxes—making her 2017's highest-paid actress. 

For her performance in La La Land, 28-year-old Emma received best actress wins at the SAG Awards, BAFTA Awards, Golden Globes, and finally, at the Oscars. 

After accepting her Oscar for Best Actress, Emma said, "I still have a lot of growing and learning and work to do, and this [award] is a really beautiful symbol to continue on that journey, and I'm so grateful for that."
