Fashionable Ways To Pose With Your Hat, As Seen On Celebs
Whenever we travel, we always make sure to throw in a hat or two in our bags. They can instantly up the look of any outfit and protect us from sun damage—stylish and functional, what's not to love abouthem? For the next time you decide to sport head gear, we rounded up some poses you can do for the cutest OOTD photos:
Big floppy hats
Beauty queens turned beach babes: pride of the Philippines Miss Universe 2016 Pia Wurtzbach and Miss Universe 2018 Catriona Gray don humongous floppy hats in similar ways.
Pia wears a printed bikini, plops on a hat, and lets it have its own life; while Catriona, wearing a nude swimsuit, wears her hat ~*regally*~ like a crown and ends up looking like a summer goddess.
We love how their floppy hats of choice do more than protect them from the harmful UV rays—it makes a strong style statement, too.
Bored with your everyday OOTDs? Take cues from stylish celebs Kira Balinger and Janine Gutierrez.
Kira wears a black-and-white checked hat with her casual striped tee, making her look a notch more interesting and playful. She bows down slightly and strikes a pose!
Lounging by the pool, Janine chooses a candy-colored plastic visor to match her pastel-hued swimsuit, giving a flirty lewk to the camera as she casually holds on to the tip of her hat.
Dramatic black hats
Glaiza de Castro and Anne Curtis are known for their strong presence on the big screen, but we love how they’re making a statement on Instagram, too! As seen below, Glaiza and Anne sport dramatic black outfits to match their black hats.
Glaiza walks away from the camera and looks back as if she were in a scene from a movie! She shows only 3/4 of her face, which is said to be the most flattering angle (CGs, take note!).
Meanwhile, Anne chose to hide her face completely, and plays around with the harsh lights and the shadows cast on her face. Love the dramatic ending!
How do true fashion girls pose in their hats? As usual, Liz and Laureen are fearless and OTT in their summer-ready outfits. Sticking to a warm color palette, they layer their swimsuits with cover ups in similar sunset hues and pile on accessories that match.
What we notice is how they keep their poses fierce and very model-esque (read: no toothy grins here), giving us a peek into the details of every accessory, all without even having to touch their hats.
Jess Wilson choses to partially hide her face from the sun, bringing the focus on her chic matte lip and fresh cruise outfit.
All the same, Nadine Lustre draws our eyes to her shimmery lips and bikini top, as she hides the rest of her face with a straw hat. Both photos are A+ if you ask us!
Camille Co and Mari Jasmine are such pros at art directing their own Instagram photos, agree? As seen below, Camille and Mari allow their hats to steal the spotlight, although in different ways.
Notice how Camille's hat is taking almost a third of the frame, making it the key point of her look; while Mari's hat actually gives us a full, unobstructed view of it, and we only see the profile of her face.
