Growing up with kayumanggi skin, jet-black hair, and bushy eyebrows, I didn’t really see myself (or women that looked like me) in the media. TV commercials and billboards would often feature models with fair complexion and market the brand’s products to be suitable for every Filipina—completely erasing the fact that Pinays are of different skin tones and complexions.
Times are truly changing, however, as more and more brands are *empowering* morenas to embrace their skin! Joining the club is Palmolive, who aims to spark conversations about inclusive Filipina representation.
ICYMI, the brand recently unveiled an image of a *Filipina beauty* rendered by artificial intelligence, and she looks absolutely beautiful! Check it out for yourself:

What do you think? Join the conversation by commenting your own description of a ~Filipina~ on their Facebook post and help the brand create a diverse and inclusive Palmolive Girl that’s *truly* representative of all Pinays!
