My Day With Cosmo: What It's Like To Book An At-Home Salon Service During A Pandemic
The pandemic has forced everyone all over the world to change how they live. For example, personal care establishments like barbershops and salons were once shut down during enhanced community quarantine. Their services pose a high risk of spreading and catching COVID-19. These require close contact interaction between the stylist and the client. It will be impossible to impose physical distancing.
In June, regulations started to ease. Barbershops and salons offered haircut and hair color services but could only accept a limited number of customers at once. There were establishments who tweaked their business models and started offering at-home salon services to cater to the changes. (As of this writing, Metro Manila's general community quarantine rules only allow haircut services.)
Cheska Santiago, Cosmo.ph's Editorial Assistant for Beauty, booked Stud and Sassy Salon for a hair color session. Below, watch how an at-home salon service is like during a pandemic.
