Here's How You Can Fake Having Short Hair

Don't worry, it doesn't involve wigs and scissors.

If you’re one of the many women who secretly dream of getting short hair but you're too afraid of commitment to do so, we may have found a solution for you. Don’t worry, it doesn’t involve wigs and scissors.

We found this hair tutorial by YouTuber Elanna Pecherle, where she schools us on how to create a 1920s-inspired faux bob in a few easy steps:

She begins by sectioning her hair half-up and half-down. She then braided the bottom half and pinned it against her head, instantly lessening the thickness of her locks. After curling small sections of the rest of her tresses, she proceeded to create waves reminiscent of women's hairstyles in the ‘20s. To trim the hair length even more, she took a fine-toothed comb and started back-combing the ends of her hair to push up the ends, creating the illusion of an even shorter ‘do.

Who knew it was that simple?
