Ever since the beginning of the pandemic, we've put a lot of our day-to-day habits on hold, and that includes our beauty routines. It seemed pointless to do our makeup when we're just at home and TBH, there are much bigger and more pressing problems in the world right now. For some of us though, keeping up with a regimen for ourselves gives us a sliver of normalcy during these strange times. It also helps us feel like we are in control of at least one aspect of our lives during this uncertain situation.
That said, we decided to ask how our favorite content creators and influencers' beauty routines have changed due to the ECQ. Keep on scrolling to read their responses:

"I’ve been more simple with my skincare routine now. Even though we’re in quarantine, it’s also summer in Manila so piling on a lot of different products isn’t ideal. I’ve been sticking to the basics: Cleansing, toning, moisturizing, and applying sunscreen! I would occasionally put on a sheet mask whenever I’m feeling fancy. For makeup, I haven’t been wearing much either unless I’m filming a video.

Recently though, I’ve been allocating one to two hours of my day to do more ~creative~ makeup looks for fun! I think now is the best time to experiment with different makeup styles and color combos."

"My skincare routine is the same pa rin naman. One thing that has changed, though, is I rarely do my morning regimen. I just splash my face with water and I'm done na. It’s summer na kasi, I don't want my skin to feel sticky during the day. At night, I usually apply toner, serum, and moisturizer. As for makeup, I’m exploring new techniques. So far, I learned how to do the 'fox eye' look by watching tutorials. Yay!"

"I’ve actually stripped my skincare routine to the minimum and then added products according to how my skin is 'feeling.' My skin suffered quite a bit when the ECQ started. I don’t know if it was stress from anxiety or because I was sweating more. I became really careful with what I put on my skin.
Before the ECQ started, I didn’t put makeup on at home! But now, applying makeup every now and then helps in making me feel better. Something as little as blush and tinted lip balm can already go a long way."

"I haven’t worn makeup in forever since I’ve just been staying at home. Content has been the least of my priorities as I was heavily pregnant at the start of the ECQ and gave birth in the middle of it. During my pregnancy, I would just use virgin coconut oil to keep things simple and natural, but now I’m back to using my regular skincare faves like the Estée Lauder’s Advanced Night Repair serum, Clinique’s Dramatically Different Moisturizing Cream, and Huxley’s Oil Essence.
Pre-ECQ, I would be out all the time so makeup was such a normal, everyday thing for me. The quarantine + my third trimester normalized my bare face. Now it feels weird to look at me with a full face of makeup! I’ve gotten used to my pambahay look na."

"Since the start of quarantine, I haven't been wearing any makeup. I make sure to do my skincare routine regularly. One of my favorite activities to do now is swim, so I make sure to moisturize my entire body after showering. Plus, I exfoliate once a week!"

"My skincare regimen is pretty much the same as it was before the quarantine started, though I had to replace some of my go-to's because they weren't readily available due to the ECQ. My makeup routine is almost non-existent. If I do need to wear some, the most I would do is curl my lashes, comb my brows, and put some cream blush on.

"There isn't much change in my skincare routine this quarantine compared to before, but something I noticed is that my complexion has gotten better since I don't wear makeup every day. Back then, I would always sport a full face of products for work, but now since no one can really see me, I just do it if I need to shoot content."
