Let me just start off my love letter for BLK Creamy Cheek Paints with this: I loved you at first swipe.
When I first found out about the BLK Creamy Cheek Paint, I was at the BLK Cosmetics K-Beauty launch in 2018. Anne Curtis was thrilled about the new collection because she loves all things Korean. My expectations were high, as I worked for a Korean beauty brand in my past life. I was excited to find out if the cream blush was worth the purchase.
Anyway, as soon as I got a tube of my own and swatched it at the back of my hand, I knew in my heart that I found a keeper.
The BLK Creamy Cheek Paints, according to BLK's website, has a "light, silky texture that melts on the skin seamlessly, delivering a soft veil of color with a healthy, second-skin finish." It comes with a wide applicator, and you just need to use your fingers to ~blend~ everything. Very foolproof, I must say.
It comes in four shades, and all are bestsellers:
- Strawberry - soft pink
- Peach - bright milky peach
- Apple - true red
- Candy Cane - light, warm pink
Each costs P399, so it's not that expensive. You can buy it from Lazada, the BLK Cosmetics website, SM North EDSA, Eastwood Mall, Glorietta, and inside the department stores of the following SM Malls: SM Cubao, SM Marikina, SM City North EDSA, SM San Lazaro, SM City Baguio, SM Manila, SM City Sta. Mesa, SM City Taytay, SM Baliwag, SM Megamall, SM Makati, SM Mall of Asia, SM Southmall. It's also available in select Watsons branches.

Now let's just talk about why I love it so much!
It's pigmented!
Initially, I was impressed by its pigment (or shocked, LOL). I never expected that one dot would add *that much* color on my cheeks. I'm not gonna lie. I panicked and got a makeup wipe to remove the excess. After that experience, I figured out the best way to apply it: One tiny dot is enough for both cheeks!
It never broke my skin out.
I've got oily skin, so I'm picky with what I put on my cheeks. I never want to get a random breakout on my face (although I know it's normal). The BLK Creamy Cheeky Paint, in all the times I have used it, never triggered pimples. YAY!
It's long-wearing.
As for it being long-wearing, I have worn it during the most testing times: during a workout and while waiting in line for the UV Express. Pawis and oil—hu u?
It's great for "fresh lang" makeup looks.
Now for the million-peso question: Nakaka-fresh ba? The short answer is yes! I brought two tubes during my recent trip, and my relatives kept on asking what I used on my cheeks. I was v proud to reveal that it was by a Filipino brand. I immediately unloaded the two BLK Creamy Cheek Paints (Peach and Candy Cane) from my kikay kit, and urged them to try the blushes on themselves.
The verdict: I'm going to bring some the next time I fly out to see them.

It deserves international recognition.
Also, I went to the Glossier LA showroom and swatched their internet-famous Cloud Paints. I wanted to buy the shades I didn't own yet, but as I applied the product on my skin, this thought came up: "The Cloud Paints never lasted on my cheeks, but the BLK Creamy Cheek Paints did. Plus, I actually like BLK's colors more." The BLK Cosmetics Creamy Cheek Paint can rival its international counterparts!
To summarize, the BLK Cosmetics Creamy Cheek Paint is the best I've ever tried because...
It's long-wearing and can grant my cheeks the best "fresh lang" flush ever!
