Bold Eyeshadows Are Having A Moment

Go bold or go home.

Just when we thought that bold-colored eye shadows have become a thing of the past, models at the Paris Haute Couture Fashion Week Fall 2015 walked the runways with brightly painted eyelids.

For instance, Kendall Jenner totally looked like a fairy princess when she wore green metallic eye shadow (all thanks to makeup artist Pat McGrath!) during the Atelier Versace show. Vogue UK reports, “lime, teal, and gold shadow was diffused all around the eyes, and mascara was applied to the lashes.” Because the eyes were so bold, the rest of the models’ faces were kept to a minimum. Barely any foundation was applied, and the choice of lipstick was a very pale but pretty soft pink.

A few days ago, Cara Delevingne was also spotted rocking an orange eye at the premiere of her movie, Paper Towns. To balance out the look, check out how Cara’s brows were softened with what we presume is brow tint.

Of course, a bold eye isn’t exclusively for haute couture runway shows or movie premieres. You, too, can rock this trend on a normal day, because it is one of the easiest ways to break the monotony of your nudes and neutrals. Get runway-inspired lids by using a cream eye shadow all over your lid and smudging it out with a clean fluffy eye brush. Curl your lashes and you’re good to go.
