“For Belle Mariano, she’s very easy to work with. I don’t use much products on her. So the key products for Belle’s makeup are sheer foundation and then eyebrows and then blush and a really nice lip color. The products that I use on her are basically Maybelline products. The usual lip color I use is the Vinyl Lip Color in Charmed, we use that a lot in most of our work together, whether it’s an endorsement shoot or an everyday makeup. For her foundation I use a sheer skin tint, [specifically the Laura Mercier skin tint], and for her brows I use the Benefit eyebrow pencil and clear gel. I also use the Sky High Mascara because it really makes her eyes pop more when I use that mascara on her.”

“One is probably the Maracuja lip oil from Tarte. I’ve been using that a lot now kasi it’s really moisturizing and plumping–they have a plumping variant–and it has a tint of color that’s not too opaque. It looks like–you know how Koreans look when they have lip oil on top of a lip pencil–the jelly lip look. Tapos the Makeup Forever na pencils, they can actually be used on the eyes and lips as well. So they’re multi-purpose and I like that when I buy products for my kit. It has to be something I can use for multiple things. As well as cheek tints kasi you can usually use it on the lips, the eyelids, and then the cheeks also. For highlight, the Chanel highlighting sticks look super natural, especially for shoots, it looks like skin, it doesn't look like shimmer at all.”

“My go-to products are a full-proof concealer, a cool-toned contour, a satin highlighter–not the one that's really shouting into the lights–a lip liner, and a brow pen. [The NARS Contour Blush Duo in Talia] used to be one of my favorites but they stopped [producing it], so now I’m gravitating towards the Smashbox contour and highlighting palette. They have the best cool-toned contour that makes the contour of your face really sculpted.”

“A lot of times I either do photoshoots, or now, with the celebrities I work with, I’ve done movies also, I’ve also done theater, so for them you really have to find products that will work in every light. Especially now since we have social media, you know it has to be something that will work for every lighting. I like Caliray for the base because it’s very skin-like and I also like the NARS Soft Matte concealer.”

“I usually use a light bronzer just so that I can keep the face warm. I like it when it’s warm and well-blended sa skin, so it’s really a must-have in my kit. And also a very good and nice powder because of the humidity here in the Philippines. Here in the country, you know, it’s always nice to have a nice powder para ma-mattify yung skin whenever I do makeup.”

“Actually ako ma-base, like anything na illuminating, siya yung una kong hinahanap sa makeup. Kasi parang pag na start mo na siya ng illuminating or something na pang pa-glow ng skin ma-le-lessen na yung coverage na kailangan mong gawin. I’m into skin talaga–the less coverage the better. Yung Cle de Peau Brightening Enhancer Veil and then Makeup Forever HD Skin Twist & Light 24HR Luminous Finishing Powder. Pag foundation, next nalang siya. Pag kailangan lang ng skin ng foundation tsaka lang ako gumagamit. As much as possible di ako gumagamit ng foundation kung hindi kailangan. “The Makeup Forever HD lines, specifically the powder foundation, because most of the time I don’t use liquid foundation on my clients. So after the skin prep I set everything with a powder foundation from Makeup Forever. In case there are some spots or pimples that need to be covered I use concealer. But for the whole face I don’t really use foundation since we are now in very hot weather that for some reason even if you put on the best foundation, you do the best prep, at the end of the day you get murky. You get super oily. Kahit anong foundation pa yan, it’s the same thing. The only technique I can share is to wear as [little] foundation as possible. Less is more pag mainit. And then skincare—number one parin skincare because makeup can only do so much.”

"I love bronzers, coral, peach blush and lips. Yan yung mga staples ko sakanya. And highlighters. Now, medyo I'm into cream products: cream highlighters, cream bronzers, cream blush. So medyo andun ako ngayon. And less powder. Kasi parang I want to see the skin more and sometimes I want to see the flaws of the face. So feeling ko mas ayoko talaga yung too made up. And [Gabbi Garcia] also parang wants to have that. Medyo sa eyes nalang ang focal point ng makeup niya. I love [to use] the Rare Beauty highlighter. It melts in your skin. It's powder pero it looks like liquid. So bagay siya sa tropical country na parang nagse-set siya na parang skin. Tapos pwede mo siyang i-intensify depende sa gusto mo. So yun yung parang favorite kong product ngayon. And also the BLK [Pillow Matte] kasi yung range ng colors niya now is very very morena-friendly and also tumatagal sa lips."
