Attention, local beauty junkies! Mae Layug is *finally* launching her very own makeup brand, GRWM Cosmetics, on May 15, 2020, and we're so here for it. In her recent YouTube videos, she detailed the process and work that came with creating her brand.
According to Mae, she started with the conceptualization stage in 2019. She shared that the idea of creating her own makeup brand came to her that year when she was in an Olive Young store in Myeongdong, South Korea. She shared that it made a lot of sense to launch her own brand since other than being a makeup enthusiast, she was also very interested in the research and product development phase.
Fun fact: Detail Cosmetics actually reached out to Mae in the hopes of making her own collection with the brand consisting of a full face palette and lipstick, but she decided to create GRWM Cosmetics instead. Don't worry, though—we still got to see Mae's other collabs with them in the form of the Powder Pout lipsticks and Velvet Flush blushes!

What is the first release of GRWM Cosmetics?
For the brand's first product, they decided to release a multi-use creamy tint that can be used on the eyes, lips, and cheeks! Unofficially dubbed as the Milk Tints, they are lightweight, pigmented, and buildable, so you can go as sheer or as crazy as you want.
What are the shades of the Multi-Use Creamy Tints?
It comes in six shades: Mixed Berries (cool-toned red with blue undertones), Fruit Tea (muted mauve pink), Wintermelon (warm apricot peach), 100% Sugar (warm rose with brown undertones), Cheesecake (nude muted rose), and Okinawa (warm brick red). The shade names are inspired by milk tea since it's Mae's ~favorite~ drink!
