Ivana Alawi may have broken the internet with her stunning house in Bahrain and sexy Instagram photos, but here's something that you probably didn't know about her: She's amazing at doing her own makeup, too. In fact, the young actress does her own glam for events and shows! Lucky for us, she shared all the details of her failproof signature look on her YouTube channel, and we took note of all her best makeup tricks. See them below!

  1. Find a primer that works for your skin type.

Ivana takes her skin prep seriously—as one should. She applies moisturizer, sunscreen, and a makeup primer before applying her foundation to make it blend easier. "You should really find the primer that works for your skin," she says, adding that she swears by Guerlain's hydrating and smoothing L'Or primer for her skin type that's both dry and oily (a.k.a. combination).

  2. Invest in a good foundation.

If you're going to splurge on anything in your makeup routine, let it be your base products. Ivana agrees, saying that she considers her favorite La Mer foundation an investment for her skin.

  3. Blend foundation with both a brush and a sponge.

It sounds a little extra, but the fact that Ivana blends out her foundation with both a brush a damp beauty sponge helps her guarantee a flawless finish. That's because a brush will easily spread the product over the skin without taking away too much coverage, while the sponge will remove any brush streaks and any excess foundation.

  4. Apply extra powder under your eyes to catch eyeshadow fallout.

Eyeshadow tends to drop under your eyes as you blend, which could ruin all the hard work you've spent on hiding your dark circles. To avoid this, Ivana does the makeup artist hack of putting some loose powder under her eyes to "catch" the excess eyeshadow so she can easily brush it off later.

  5. Dampen your eyeshadow brush to make pigments more intense.

A wet eyeshadow brush picks up more product and provides stronger color payoff. Ivana sprays her tools with a face mist to get this effect without having to run to the sink. It's a cool trick if you want to finish your eye makeup ASAP but still make your eyeshadow pop!

  6. Do targeted nose contouring.

You don't have to contour your entire nose to define it. Like Ivana, you can just choose the area you wish to enhance—in her case, the tip of her nose—and focus on contouring that part to achieve a more natural effect.

  7. Finish with a face mist and touch up with a sponge.

To finish off her look, Ivana sets up her look with a beauty mist, and then gently dabs a beauty sponge all over her skin to blend any areas she missed the first time.
