Shay Mitchell didn't forget to bring her glam tendencies with her to Manila, even borrowing Anne Curtis' trusted makeup artist and hairstylist for the job! ICYMI, the half-Filipino actress is currently in the country to do promotions for the Netflix series You. Here, makeup artist Robbie Piñera reveals the details of her makeup in Manila so you can cop her glow even if you didn't catch her while she's in town. Keep scrolling for all the deets!
According to Robbie, Shay wanted her first look in Manila to be glowing bronzed skin, and that's exactly what she got. "She has beautiful skin to begin with so I just brought out that natural glow. I prepped her skin with the La Mer Treatment Lotion and kept it hydrated with the gel cream," explains the makeup artist.

For foundation, the makeup artist used the La Mer Soft Fluid Long Wear Foundation in the shade Honey—"It was her perfect match," he adds. Mixing the foundation with a bit of face oil, he brushed it onto the actress' skin before pressing it in with a damp makeup sponge. To set her base, he used La Mer's The Powder, a fine loose powder with a satin finish. "Her skin was just glowing," says Robbie.

Unfortunately, Shay's collab from Buxom Cosmetics isn't available in the Philippines, but we did ask her makeup artist for an alternative lip product. On top of a lip balm, Robbie recommends dabbing Tom Ford's Lip Color in Indian Rose all over for a rosy sheen, and then contouring the lips after with MAC's Lip Pencil in Spice.

For day two, Shay and Robbie gave her previous makeup look a cool-toned twist. He gave her the same bronze glow, but experimented with a gray-brown smokey eye with a hint of shimmer.
According to the makeup artist, the base products he used stayed exactly the same, adding that the actress swears by those products. "She even brought her own in case we didn't have it, but then she saw that it was already part of my setup," he says.
After foundation, he blended Nars' Radiant Creamy Concealer in the shades Ginger and Honey over anywhere that needed coverage. To finish up the base, he touched up her T-zone with Laura Mercier's Translucent Loose Setting Powder to keep it matte all throughout her interviews and fanmeets.

Of course, a smokey eye means working double time on contour, and the makeup artist did just that. He brushed a cream contour from Tom Ford on Shay's cheeks with a foundation, tapped it in with a beauty blender to diffuse the color, and then set it with loose powder. But that's not the last step—Robbie went back in with a bit of powder bronzer to intensify the color!

Now for that smokey eye—Shay actually wore a product from Anne Curtis' makeup brand, BLK! "I used the liquid cream eyeshadow in Gorgeous as a base, and set it with colors from Tom Ford's eyeshadow quad in Nude Dip," Robbie recalls. Instead of black liner, he used a matte silver pencil on the actress' eyes, taking the cool-toned eye up a notch.

Last but not the least, Robbie finished the look with another iteration for a glossy lip. This time, he used one of Shay's favorites—Buxom's lip gloss in Hot Toddy. Underneath, he lined her lips with MAC's lip liner in Whirl to help the color last even longer.
