The Clueless Girl's Guide To Graduation Makeup

Now is not the time to try that multi-colored smoky eye.

In a sea of togas and caps, the only real way to stand out is by getting your makeup game on (and maybe a killer pair of shoes).  Keep in mind that you will potentially be cooking (or sitting) in a hot gym or sunny field for hours, so now is not the time to try out that multi-colored smoky eye that could melt off your face. Without further ado, here are some tips to help you get gorgeous come graduation day:

Keep a light base.

Skip the foundation and dive right into a BB cream or tinted moisturizer. With the threat of drippy makeup hanging over your head, you’re going to need something light, easy, and oil-free.

If you’re serious about keeping your makeup look intact...

Crying, along with a multitude of besos and eye rubbing, is definitely going to happen. Keep your makeup from doing the slip and slide or transferring onto someone’s face (ew!) by using something waterproof.

Mind the cap.

Your cap will be casting a slight shadow over your face, which means bad news for your eye bags. Dot a teensy bit more concealer under your eyes to hide the effects of your finals all-nighters.

Don’t pile on the eye makeup.

Eye makeup can be tricky: with crying looming over the horizon, you might not make it through graduation with your smoky eye intact. This industrial strength eyeliner and mascara combo should keep your eye makeup smudge-proof.

Lock your face down.

After everything is said and done, you’re going to need something to seal the deal. This setting spray can keep you shine-free for a humid and stormy beach wedding (tried and tested!), so who’s to say it won’t do a stellar job for you in a hot gymnasium?
