Another amazing video by Cut has been released, and this time, it showcases the beauty trends that dominated the Philippines over a span of 100 years, beginning in 1910.
Apart from the evolution of makeup trends over the past decade however, the video also gives viewers a crash course on Philippine history. In the 1920s and 1930s, it was obvious that Filipinas were already influenced by the Americans, as updos and fully made-up faces were all the rage.
In the '60s, the bouffant was the go-to hairstyle of women, as inspired by Jackie Kennedy Onassis and former first lady Imelda Marcos.
The video ends in 2010, when it was all about big, voluminous hair and bold lips, as inspired by celebrity beauty.
