A new day, a new fun fact about the intricacies and traditions of the royal wedding is bestowed upon us. For instance, did you know the royals have their own custom scents created for the big day? I don't remember what I smelled like during my own wedding ceremony, but I can assure you it was something totally unoriginal because I am just a commoner. The official fragrance for Meghan, however, has just been announced, and it sounds lovely.
Back in 2011 when Will and Kate tied the knot, Floris London, a British perfumer who holds a royal warrant from Queen Elizabeth, created a floral fragrance called Wedding Bouquet for the Duchess of Cambridge. Now, the luxury perfume brand has confirmed to People they will be creating a scent for Meghan and Harry's upcoming nuptials as well.
The new fragrance is inspired by an already existing unisex eau de parfum by the brand called Bergamotto Di Positano, comprised of notes of bergamot, orange blossom, green tea, wood, and spice—the last two of which are apparently the base of Meghan's custom fragrance. Unfortunately, the new scent will be part of Floris London's private collection and likely not be available for the world to purchase. However, you can still pick up a bottle of the original that inspired the new one.
Seeing as though Kate and William's fragrance featured notes of lily of the valley (the same flower prominently featured in her wedding bouquet) maybe the notes in Meghan's signature scent are a hint to what she'll be carrying down the aisle, HMM?! Just guessing/starting totally baseless rumors here, don't mind me.
