1. You’re using the wrong type of makeup.
Most women tend to pack on more makeup to cover their acne. There’s nothing wrong with concealing, but make sure you’re using the right products for your skin type.
If you’re prone to acne, read the label and stay away from ingredients such as lanolin, mineral oil, and petroleum that might lead to really bad breakouts. To keep your skin from getting irritated, go for mineral makeup instead. They’re non-comedogenic, meaning they won’t clog your pores.
2. You keep touching your face.
Think about the things you touch every day. Your computer’s keyboard, the door knob of the public restroom, your cellphone, and the handle of the MRT—they’re all filled with millions of bacteria.
Touching your face is one of the easiest ways to get a zit. Always practice proper hand washing and disinfect your phone and other gadgets by cleaning them at the end of each day.
3. You’re tamad AF.
Your skincare regimen has to be solid so you don't get pimples often. Be diligent about keeping your face clean and moisturized, and stick to oil-free products if you have oily skin.

4. You don’t wash your sheets.
Change your pillow cases—which can breed bacteria—at least once or twice a week. Also, consider the type of laundry detergent you use for your sheets. Go for one that is fragrance- and dye-free.
5. You don’t eat right.
You can use the most expensive acne treatments and put them all to waste if you don't watch your diet. According to mayoclinic.org, studies have shown that certain dairy products and carb-rich foods such as bread, bagels, and chips may trigger acne. So next time you're in need of a snack, opt for fruits and veggies instead!
6. You don’t exfoliate.
Give your face a good scrub once a week to slough off dead skin cells, bacteria, and excess oils (Warning: doing it daily may trigger more oil production = more acne).
