Nigella Lawson Moves Out After Strangling Incident

In his defense, advertising mogul Charles Saatchi said: "there was no grip, it was a playful tiff."

British cook and TV host Nigella Lawson has allegedly moved out of the Chelsea home she shares with husband Charles Saatchi, with her children in tow. This news report follows the recent paparazzi shots that popped up on social media showing Nigella being choked by Charles during a public argument over lunch.

According to The Daily Mirror, Charles used his left hand to strangle Nigella, and then used both. The famous chef and cookbook writer was seen crying, and "jerking her head backwards as if in fear."

In his defense, Charles told the London Evening Standard: "About a week ago, we were sitting outside a restaurant having an intense debate about the children, and I held Nigella’s neck repeatedly while attempting to emphasize my point. There was no grip, it was a playful tiff. The pictures are horrific but give a far more drastic and violent impression of what took place," he said.

A source told The Daily Mirror, "For Charles, Nigella has eclipsed him and he’s grumpier. His ultimate act of rebellion has been to reject her food. I have a feeling that drinking and smoking come into this as well."
