Our hearts are bursting right now: Kim Yoo Jung and Ahn Hyo Seop are officially starring in a K-drama together. They were confirmed as the leads of Red Sky in December 2020! Here's every little thing we know about the drama so far:
What's the plot of Red Sky?
According to Soompi, the series is based on the novel Hong Chun Gi by Jung Eun Gwol, who also wrote Sungkyunkwan Scandal and The Moon Embracing The Sun. Red Sky is a ~historical fantasy~ drama that will tell the story of "Joseon dynasty's only female painter who was born blind but miraculously gains vision."
These costumes are A++!
Who's starring in it?
Kim Yoo Jung as Hong Chun Gi
Where we last saw her: In 2020, Kim Yoo Jung starred opposite Ji Chang Wook in the rom-com Backstreet Rookie. She played the role of convenience store part-timer Saet Byul. This time, Yoo Jung will go back to her historical drama *roots*! We seriously can't wait to see her as a painter.
Ahn Hyo Seop as Ha Ram
Where we last saw him: Who could forget him in Dr. Romantic 2? The 2020 drama featured Hyo Seop as Doctor Seo Woo Jin, "a cynical general surgeon with a troubled past." His role in Red Sky will be "a blind astrologer who is able to read the stars despite having lost his sight."
Gong Myung as Prince Anpyeong
Where we last saw him: He starred in the 2019 series Be Melodramatic, which is about "friends navigating the demanding entertainment industry while juggling love, careers, and dreams." (Via Netflix) For his role in Red Sky, Gong Myung will be "a free-spirited romantic who hides a deep loneliness."
Kwak Si Yang as Prince Sooyang
Where (and when) can we watch Red Sky?
