Alden Richards Says It's A Blessing To Have Projects Outside Of A Love Team

The actor is starring in the upcoming teleserye 'The Gift.'

Fresh off the success of Hello, Love, Goodbye, Alden Richards talked about the personal growth he has experienced by doing projects outside of a love team. “In a way, blessing na binigyan ako ng chance na mag-grow personally. Masarap ang feeling na makakagawa ka ng mga proyekto na magiging proud ka sa sarili mo,” he said in a GMA News report.

Alden co-starred with Kathryn Bernardo in Hello, Love, Goodbye, an unexpected pairing considering Alden’s former love team with Maine Mendoza and Kathryn’s love team with real-life boyfriend Daniel Padilla. The movie became a blockbuster success and is now the highest-grossing film of all time in the country. 

Not long after the movie’s release, Alden received the Asian Star Prize at the 2019 Seoul International Drama Awards and trended on South Korea’s search engine in August.

Alden will soon star in a new teleserye titled The Gift, where he’ll play a blind man. He said he considers acting and sharing his craft with others as a gift. "Binago po nito ang buhay ko, pero as much as it's changing my life, I'm changing [others’ lives] as well through the inspiration they get from the projects I make.”
