2019 is definitely Alden Richards' year. He recently starred in the hit film Hello, Love, Goodbye with Kathryn Bernardo (the film has earned over P800 million in the box office so far!), he's set to lead a new GMA-7 teleserye soon, and just last night, he was in Seoul, South Korea for the first time to receive the Asian Star Prize at the 2019 Seoul International Drama Awards.

The event was highly publicized with tons of Korean media outlets present to cover the ceremony. This kind of publicity was great for Alden because his ~stunning visuals~ caught the attention of Korean netizens! On Twitter, Pinoys have been tweeting about Alden making it on the trending list on Naver, South Korea's number one search engine (think Google, but just for South Korea).

Alden's Asian Star Prize recognizes excellence in television drama productions worldwide. This is his second international award, the first being in 2018, when he received the silver medal award for his film Alaala at the New York Festivals.
