Volleyball player Alyssa Valdez just showed that she's ready to enter the world of acting, in a recent guesting on Tonight With Boy Abunda (TWBA).
Alyssa's actually making her acting debut in the upcoming drama film, My Letters To Happy, which hits theaters this July. The movie stars TJ Trinidad and Glaiza de Castro. Alyssa says the movie is about how complicated relationships can get, and how some people still stick around until the end.
The athlete-actress plays TJ's assistant and trainee in the film:
Knowing how she's a big fan of the late actor Rico Yan, Boy invited Alyssa to take on an impromptu acting challenge, where she needs to recite a line from one of Rico's most unforgettable films, Got 2 Believe. The line goes, "I never really believed in forever, but I think I found forever in you."
Totally game, Alyssa jumped in on the challenge and did three versions of the line, one as if she's scared, another as if she's angry, and a final one as if directing the line to her boyfriend, basketball player Kiefer Ravena. Alyssa and Kiefer celebrated their third anniversary in April.
