ABS-CBN love team and *rumored* real-life couple Andrea Brillantes and Seth Fedelin recently starred in the music video for Zack Tabuldo's newest single "Binibini." The story is told in reversed fashion, and we first see the couple tearfully parting ways—it looks like they're on the verge of a breakup!
As the story unfolds, we learn paano sila nagkalabuan, we see their first *kilig* moments together, and we even get a glimpse of their very first meeting. One particular scene that has gotten fans hooked is when Andrea and Seth dance in the rain while Zack's singing the chorus: "Isayaw mo ako/ Sa gitna ng ulan/ Mahal ko/ Kapalit man nito'y buhay ko/ Gagawin ang lahat para sa'yo/ Alam kong mahal mo na rin ako..." I mean...who doesn't love an "isayaw mo ako" moment, right?
The story behind "Binibini"
According to 18-year-old Zack Tabuldo, he wrote "Binibini" at the "peak of a romantic relationship with a former flame." He said in a press release: "She was the binibini that I would dance with in the middle of the rain, in the middle of a chaos, or whatever's happening around us." In a report by Manila Bulletin, Zack adds: "I did the writing, production, and mixing and mastering just like my other songs. This was a bit different because of the kundiman vibe to it that I've never done before with a personal song. It had that chill, laid-back, in love—happy moments kind of feel to it."
Prior to "Binibini," Zack also wrote "Nangangamba" and "Sigurado" (which is actually inspired by actress Liza Soberano).
The "Binibini" music video is directed by Dan Villegas, who also worked on the films English Only, Please (2014) and Exes Baggage (2018). As of this writing, "Binibini" has raked in more than a million views on YouTube. You can watch the full MV below:
