Angel Locsin is no longer playing the Pinay superheroine but a lot of netizens still refer to her as Darna for the way she voices out her opinions and gives help to others.
This happened on March 25, when Angel expressed her disgust for Senator Koko Pimentel.
Pimentel is in hot water for not following the quarantine protocol despite being considered as a person under investigation (PUI) for COVID-19.
The government official went to Makati Medical Center on March 24 with his wife who was about to give birth. On March 25, Pimentel confirmed that he is COVID-19 positive.
Using her Twitter account, Angel admitted that she now regrets campaigning for Pimentel in the 2007 senatorial elections.
When a netizen tagged Angel in a campaign photo with Pimentel, Angel replied, "Eww"
Angel then apologized by writing, "Yes. Super. Mortal sin. Patawarin nyo po ako bilang ex-husband po siya ng pinsan ko."
Angel was praised by Twitter users because she apologized to the public for endorsing Pimentel in the 2007 elections.

Other Twitter users noticed how Angel tagged lifestyle blogger Cat Arambulo in a news item about Pimentel not following the quarantine protocol.
Angel wrote, "Calling @catarambulo_com [three red hearts] where are youuuu? [hugging emoji]"
Cat trended on social media during the first week of the community quarantine for her viral video, wherein she was heard calling people in the streets "m*therf*ckers" for going outside of their homes.
Because of this, netizens criticized Cat for being insensitive to the struggles of daily-wage workers.
A Twitter user retweeted Angel's post and wrote, "Darna throwing shade is just so funny to look at."
One netizen commented, "Di na kelangan ng bato ni Darna dahil si Angel pa lang todong MALAKAS NA!"
Other netizens acknowledged Angel's relief efforts to help frontliners and health workers in the midst of COVID-19.
A netizen then tweeted Angel, "Aminin mo na @143redangel. Siguro nung last time na sinubo mo yung bato nginata mo no? Parang may naiwan kasi sayo kasi hanggang ngayon ikaw pa rin ang Darna namin eeeh. [red heart emoji]"
