We’re loving Angel Locsin’s attitude when it comes to body-shamers! Appearing on Tonight With Boy Abunda, the star of The General’s Daughter says, “Parang maaawa ka na doon sa tao kasi anong klaseng person ka para magawa mo ‘yon? Perfect ka, sobrang perfect mo? Parang ganoon. Hindi mo na lang papatulan… Ayokong makipag-deal sa mga ganoong klaseng tao kasi sad ang life nila. Ako walang problema, bakit ikaw ang dami mong issue? E katawan ko ‘to, ako ‘to, sarili ko ‘to. E ikaw ba, okay ka ba?”
When the actress developed a disc bulge in her spine in 2015, her range of movements was severely limited. To this day, she can no longer do certain basic movements, but she proudly does all her action stunts on The General’s Daughter.
In the interview, she also talks about her relationship with producer Neil Arce. She just celebrated one year with her “my-hal,” a term of endearment that came from when she accidentally said both “my love” and “mahal.”
Asked who’s the better kisser between them, she says with a laugh, “I think ako. Gusto kong sabihing si Neil pero gusto kong i-angat ang sa akin.”
How do they let each other know when they’re in the mood? “Natatawa lang kami ‘pag may music, mga ganyan kasi sobrang close na namin. Siguro ibang approach ‘pag dating sa amin.”
If he proposed now, what would she say? “Alam niyang mag-no-no ako kasi I have priorities, pero ‘di ibig sabihin na no ako sa kanya for life. Sa future, baka mag-yes ako. Timing lang.”
