Angelica PanganibanAngelica Panganiban has come a long way from being that adorable child star in Ang TV, a fact that is in full evidence in this month's cover of Cosmopolitan. This year has been quite a rollercoaster ride for the actress--on one hand, she recently starred in Every Breath U Take with leading man Piolo Pascual; on the other hand, she broke up with fellow actor Derek Ramsay, whom she had been seeing for over six years. But, ever the consummate professional, Angelica has chosen to keep it together, keeping busy with gag show Banana Split and filming for an upcoming movie and a new TV series.

More proof that Angelica is showing no signs of slowing down: she was recently revealed as the new endorser of CarbTrim, an iced tea drink that helps block carbohydrates. We caught up with the sizzling actress at the launch, where she got real on her health and fitness habits. Read on to find out what we learned from her!

1. Like many real girls looking to shed a few pounds, Angelica has tried fad diets.

"I've tried the South Beach Diet lang. 'Yung blood type diet, nabasa ko yung libro about it--para daw sa blood type ko, bawal mag-chicken, mas okay mag-beef. Pero, ayun! Nag chi-chicken pa rin ako!"

2. Hate going to the gym? Don't worry; you're not alone.

"'Di ko kaya mag-gym pero nag yo-yoga, badminton, at running ako. Never talaga gym."

3. For exercise, she prefers badminton because it's fun. 

"Favorite ko mag-badminton sa lahat, kasi pag badminton, kahit 15 kayo na maglaro and six hours kayo dun, may game, may points, so nae-enjoy mo siya."

4. To unwind, this busy actress turns to yoga. 

"Ang yoga, nakaka-relax, and now, mas madami nang interested mag-yoga, so madami na akong kasama. Before kasi, mag-isa lang ako so medyo boring sya."

5. A word of health advice from Angelica: Never skip meals.

"Mas okay sa akin yang kumain sa tamang oras and ng tamang amount kesa yang sa ginugutom mo sarili mo--mas marami kang kakainin kung sobrang gutom ka."
