If you loved the 2014 film That Thing Called Tadhana and Angelica Panganiban's natural chemistry with JM De Guzman, you'll be pleased to know that the actors are reuniting for a "virtual drama" called Love Lockdown! The iWant original movie is about "three interconnected stories of love, lust, and betrayal [that] all explode during the COVID-19 lockdown." According to teasers from Dreamscape Entertainment, Angelica plays a character named Leslie while JM's is called Allan.
Here's what's super interesting about the project: Based on behind-the-scenes clips, filming took place inside the artists' own homes. Real-life couple Jake Cuenca and Kylie Verzosa, as well as Arjo Atayde, Sue Ramirez, and Tony Labrusca are also part of the project.
Love Lockdown will be available on iWant starting this Friday, May 15.
In April, Angelica and JM read the That Thing Called Tadhana script via Facebook Live for Lockdown Cinema Club Nights. Both of them have also indicated that they'd be open to playing Mace and Anthony again for a possible That Thing sequel. Writer and director Antoinette Jadaone even revealed that she's already worked on the first few sequences.
