You'd think that when you become a celebrity that you instantly become über cool and sophisticated in the presence of all other celebrities.
But Anne Hathaway has proved this to be a load of bull, after she fully lost her shit when realizing she was standing just inches away from her "Hero" (wheeey) Mariah Carey on the red carpet.
Anne was at the premiere of her new film with Robert DeNiro, The Intern, and was being quizzed on the movie by the Associated Press when she zoned in on Mariah.
"I'm freaking out. She's two arm lengths away from me right now," she said, completely ignoring the interviewer's now very irrelevant question.
And it all just seemed to descend from there, with Anne proceeding to forget how to communicate using the English language correctly.
"It's just the best glamorous ever," she said, before clarifying: "That's not even a sentence. There's no grammar there."
The interview proceeded, until Mariah came even closer. And Anne was gone again. "She's now an arm length away. No, no, no, it's fine. I'm going to meet her when the time's right."
That's how to play it cool, love. You've got alllllll the moves. Watch the whole thing play out in full here:
God only knows if the two did eventually meet inside, or if Anne managed to score a spot next to Mariah in the cinema and sneak a cheeky hand on her thigh mid-film. But we're just hypothesizing.
