You've probably seen the posts going around: Yes, director Antoinette Jadaone is looking for someone ~ordinary~ to star in her latest film! Here's what she's looking for: "Just a girl, not yet a woman, 18 to 22 years old, with little or without acting experience, shy but passionate, innocent but curious, and simple but may dating."
The film's going to be called Fan Girl and will tell the story of an obsessed teen fan who finds herself inside a mansion with the celebrity idol she thought she knew, and learns why people always say "never meet your heroes." Written and directed by Antoinette, the film will be produced by Dan Villegas and Bianca Balbuena-Liew.
The auditions will take place at Film Room B4 (February 26) located inside UP Diliman, and Sikat Events Place in Tomas Morato (February 27, 28, and March 2). She also left a contact number on her Instagram post!
Antoinette Jadaone's latest project is the heartbreaking film Alone/Together, which stars Liza Soberano and Enrique Gil. She's also the director of ramantic films That Thing Called Tadhana, Love You To The Stars And Back, and Never Not Love You.
In a blog post from 2017, Direk Tonet wrote, "Tomorrow, I'll meet with my cinematographer Hermann, production designer Shari, and location manager Bons for Project Fangirl (I finally have a working title)."
And in October 2018, she shared a *postcard* for Fan Girl, announcing that the film is one of the 27—and the only Filipino representative—selected projects at the 2018 Asian Project Market (APM) of the Busan International Film Festival (BIFF). Their target shoot date? September 2019!
We can't wait to find out more!
