Y’all remember that donut-licking scandal that blew up a few months ago, right? I mean, who can forget Ariana Grande sneakily licking donuts that were ready to be sold. SO GROSS, ARI.
The singer has since sent out an apology video swiftly after the footage of her licking those poor donuts went viral.
But on September 15, Ari spoke about the incident for the first time on live television when she appeared on Good Morning America. The singer owned up to her actions, saying, “My behavior was very offensive and I apologized. There’s no excuse or there’s nothing to justify it. But, you know, I think as human beings we all say and do things that we don’t mean at all sometimes and we have to learn from it. It’s part of our process. We have to learn from our mistakes and that’s how we grow.”
She even opened up about how big a disappointment she was to those who cared for her, “I think one of the biggest things I learned from that [incident] was what it feels like to disappoint so many people who love and believe in you and that’s an excruciating feeling. And, you know, you have to remember that your words, your actions have ramifications. And you have to really think about what you’re about to say and do because it’s important—it’s important to so many people.”
You’re important to us, Ari! WE STILL LOVE YOU!
