Heads up, Arthdal Chronicles fans: Lee Joon Gi and Shin Se Kyung just received offers to lead the drama's second season!
According to reports, the two Korean stars *might* replace Song Joong Ki and Kim Ji Won who portrayed the main characters in Arthdal Chronicles 2. Joon Gi and Se Kyung's agencies—Namoo Actors and EDAM Entertainment—announced separately that their artists have received an offer to star in the series and they're currently reviewing it.

Arthdal Chronicles is a mix of action and fantasy and is described by Netflix as a drama where "inhabitants of the ancient city of Arthdal and its surrounding regions vie for power as they build a new society." The first season aired in 2019 and fans have been asking for a sequel since then.
On February 22, Studio Dragon (who also developed Vincenzo, Hometown Cha-Cha-Cha, and Twenty Five, Twenty One) confirmed that they plan to start the production this year. Arthdal Chronicles 2 will show the changes that happened in Arth after more than a decade and the production team has been looking for actors who can play the adult versions of Eun Seom and Tan Ya. They reportedly chose Joon Gi and Se Kyung who have shown their superb acting chops in their various projects.

As of writing, there's no confirmed release date yet for Arthdal Chronicles 2.
