On June 6, 2019, K-pop girl group BLACKPINK visited the Philippines for a special 30-minute meet and greet. During the event, which some say was a ~disaster~, fans noticed that Jennie was having a hard time breathing, with them speculating she was actually experiencing a panic attack.

Through an Instagram post over the weekend, comedian Awra posted a message to share his side of the story. Part of his open letter reads: "Hindi ko intensyon na i-disrepect si Jennie kasi alam ko yung pakiramdam ng i-disrespect. Awra said that some of the comments he made sounded like he was laughing at Jennie and Blinks who couldn't attend the fan meeting because he isn't very fluent in English. According to Awra, when he said "What happened today was so sick," he meant that the BLACKPINK event they just went to was "cool" or "lit." The others were laughing because of his attempt to speak in English, not because of Jennie.
