Barbie Forteza and her partner Jak Roberto have been together for more than five years now, and while it seems like the actress ~just got lucky~ in the relationship department, she admits that she didn’t *always* make the smartest decisions when it comes to love.
In a recent interview with Karen Davila, the Maria Clara at Ibarra star opened up about experiencing heartbreak and the lessons she learned about relationships.
“Wag ibigay ang lahat agad, lalo na kapag nasa ‘getting to know’ stage pa lang kayo. Since bata pa lang ako nagsimula mag-artista, kapag na-fall ako sa isang lalaki, binibigay ko na lahat—atensyon, oras, tapos nalilimutan kong [magtira para sa sarili ko],” she reveals. “Kapag may kasalanan sila, pinagbibigyan ko kasi mahal ko eh.”
“Medyo hindi ako proud sa love life ko [and choices] before,” says the actress, admitting that she used to like *bad boys.*

“Ay hindi po,” she answers. “Ngayon na na-realize ko na marami pang dapat mangyari sa career ko, parang gusto ko pa siya i-maximize, pero I’m really, really happy with my relationship with Jak right now.” Awww!
