On part two of their Tonight With Boy Abunda appearance, Bea Alonzo and Angelica Panganiban talked about the last people who broke their hearts (read: Gerald Anderson and Carlo Aquino). The Unbreakable stars said they have not forgiven them, but they can and they will, even if their exes don’t ask for forgiveness.
Bea said, “Kahit hindi hingin, I have to [because] forgiving yourself and forgiving someone is about freeing yourself from all the baggage and all the pain you went through and just moving forward.”
She added, “Kung tatanungin ako kung kailan, hindi ko kayang sagutin, pero it’s part of my healing process.”
Angelica said, “Mahirap magpatawad kung wala namang humihingi ng tawad. May mga humihingi ng tawad pero hindi nila alam kung anong kasalanan nila. Naniniwala ako na once nabigay ko na ang forgiveness, mase-set free ko na rin ang sarili ko. Kahit hindi dumating ‘yon, kahit hindi magka-remorse ang tao, nagdadasal ako na mapatawad ko siya not for him but for myself.”
For now, they're enjoying being single and rediscovering themselves. Angelica said, “Nasa stage ako na binibigay ko [sa sarili ko] kung anong deserve ko. Mas gala ako. Nagta-travel ako. Sobra kong sino-spoil ang pamilya ko, mga kaibigan ko, at sarili ko. When you’re in a relationship, ‘yon ang sino-spoil mo e—ang boyfriend mo at pamilya niya.”
Bea said, “Ang dami kong na-discover sa sarili ko. Hindi pala ako dependent. Akala ko ang happiness ko will depend on someone else. Okay naman pala ako.”
They’re not rushing to fall in love again. “What will happen will happen,” said Angelica. Bea is more “careful” now, but not “cynical.” She said, “Sa ngayon parang sinasabi ng universe na mag-work muna. Hindi ko rin siya hinahanap honestly.”
Angelica said she and Cholo Barretto are just friends, while Bea denied rumors linking her to Jake Ejercito and Dominic Roque.
