Listen up, P-Pop fans! There's a new boy group to watch out for.
BGYO is the latest addition to ABS-CBN's roster of music talents. They're made up of five members, namely Akira, Gelo, JL, Mikki, and Nate, a product of Star Hunt Academy.
Previously known as the SHA Boys, the boys were recruited in 2018 and spent two years undergoing rigorous training under the guidance of a number of Filipino and Korean coaches. You might have seen them before when they performed BTS' "On" on ASAP.
On Friday, the group released the music video for their debut single, "The Light," which, according to the description on their YouTube channel, "speaks about empowerment, hope, and self-love." The track features a mix of both English and Filipino lyrics.
