BLACKPINK made history on November 11 when they became the first K-pop group to reach over a billion views on YouTube with their music video for “Ddu-Du Ddu-Du.”
According to a report from Soompi, the video was released on June 15, 2018, with BLACKPINK achieving the accomplishment in just one year, four months, and 27 days.

The only Korean artist to reach over a billion views on the popular video streaming platform is Psy, whose videos “Gangnam Style” and “Gentleman” each have over 3 billion views and 1.2 billion views, respectively.
