It looks like Jennie  might be the second BLACKPINK member to debut as an actress!

On June 17, Korean news reports revealed that Jennie has received an offer to appear in the HBO series The Idol co-produced by global star The Weeknd and Euphoria director Sam Levinson. 

The Weeknd will star as a cult leader who gets involved with a rising pop idol (Lily-Rose Depp)Troye Sivan is also slated to appear in the series. 

While Jennie's exact role has not been revealed and her appearance in the show has not been confirmed, this will not be the first time The Weeknd and Jennie's paths cross. 

The two global stars were spotted partying together at Los Angeles in 2021, sparking rumors that a collaboration is in the works. Jennie's BFF Jung Ho Yeon also  appeared in the music video for The Weeknd's 2022 single "Out of Time."

Meanwhile, Jennie and the rest of the BLACKPINK members are busy preparing for their highly-anticipated comeback and tour. In a recent interview with Rolling Stone, Jennie shared, "These days, because we’re preparing for our comeback and planning our tour, I think every day about how do I prepare myself for my next busy two years?"
