Our childhoods weren't complete without the *most wholesome* Nickelodeon show ever, Blue's Clues, which was first aired in 1996! We grew up with Steve (Steve Burns), and then with his brother, Joe (Donovan Patton), after Steve left for college in 2002. A reboot of Blue's Clues started airing in 2019, this time with a Filipino-American host named Josh!

Today, for the show's 25th-anniversary celebration, Nick Jr. released a video of Steve looking back at the time his character left for college—aka left the show—saying: "I realize that was kind of abrupt." No kidding, Steve. That was basically our first heartbreak.

And then he proceeds to tell us how far we've come since those clue-finding days! "And then look at you, look at all you have done, and all you have accomplished in all that time. I know you know."

Towards the end of the video, Steve says: "I guess I just wanted to say that after all these years, I never forgot you. Ever. And I'm super glad we're still friends."

This is seriously making us ugly cry, and we're not alone! The nostalgic video has since gone viral, and "Steve" is even one of the top trending topics on Twitter. "The millennials are having a collective cry after the video from Steve," one Twitter user wrote. "We heard the comforting words we want to hear from anyone and unexpectedly we got it from him," another added.

One particularly relatable post reads: "I hate being an adult, Uncle Steve." HARD SAME.
