BTS joined The Late Late Show host James Corden on a joyride around Los Angeles as the boys appeared in the show’s segment called “Carpool Karaoke” on February 25.
In “Carpool Karaoke”, James invites famous musicians and singers to help him “get to work.” Famous names that have appeared on the segment include Adele, Billie Eilish, Justin Beiber, Madonna, Celine Dion, and Ed Sheeran, among others.
In the 17-minute segment, the members of the K-pop group and James sang to BTS songs such as “Mic Drop”, “ON”, and “Black Swan”. The karaoke wasn’t just limited to BTS’ songs, as the boys also sang along to Bruno Mars’ “Finesse” and Post Malone’s “Circles.”
In between singing songs in the car, James also interviewed the members of BTS which includes Jin, Suga, J-Hope, RM, Jimin, V, and Jungkook.
RM served as the group’s translator and shared that he taught himself English while watching the TV show, FRIENDS. The group also talked about the nicknames that their fans aka ARMY, have given them, as well as their experience living together and who are most likely to get into an argument. They also talked about the celebrities that BTS was most excited to meet.
In addition to driving around and singing along, the segment ends when BTS joined James in his cardio dance class where the boys danced to Iggy Azalea’s “Black Widow”. Of course, as BTS are very talented dancers, Jimin took the lead in teaching the class some BTS-approved dance moves.
