BTS Just Broke The Beatles' Iconic Billboard Chart Record!

In less than 12 months, K-pop boy band BTS has managed to land their third (YES, THIRD) No. 1 album on the US Billboard 200 chart with Map of the Soul: Persona! The mini-album was released on April 12, 2019, and has been delighting audiences since then. Among the album's seven tracks is a collab with American singer and songwriter Halsey called "Boy With Luv."

In June 2018, BTS hit No. 1 on the Billboard chart for the first time (they're also the first Korean act to top the chart!) with Love Yourself: Tear. This was followed with Love Yourself: Answer, which also reached the top spot, in September that same year!

Get this: BTS is the first group since The Beatles to earn three No. 1 albums in less than a year! This ~phenomenon~ last happened between December 1995 to November 1996, when the iconic band released their archive tracks through the albums Anthology 1Anthology 2, and Anthology 3. The Beatles' record spanned 11 months and a week while BTS broke the record in just under 11 months.
