Many of today's top stars started out just like us. In fact, before they rose to fame, these celebrities had to take on regular jobs to get by and start somewhere. From award-winning artists to everyone's favorite Riverdale actresses, here are some celebs who had normal jobs before they became famous:

1. Harry Styles

Prior to becoming one-fifth of global boy band One DirectionHarry Styles was a part-timer at a bakery called W. Mandeville in the U.K. His tasks include cleaning up, scrubbing floors, and serving customers.

2. Lili Reinhart

Technically, this might not be Lili's first ~ever~ foray into the workforce, but it is the job she had prior to landing the role of Betty Cooper in Riverdale. Lili worked as a sales associate for home furnishing retailer Pier 1 Imports.

3. Madelaine Petsch

Before playing Cheryl Blossom on Riverdale, Madelaine Petsch was juggling three jobs just to get by. In an interview with Cosmopolitan, the Riverdale star shared that she worked as a barista in various coffee shops, a personal assistant, and a restaurant hostess. She also had her fair share of weird job experiences which she shared in a video on her YouTube channel, including a bad experience with a customer who told her she'd never get a job in Hollywood.

Prior to becoming a world-famous rapper, Cardi B (real name: Belcalis Marlenis Almánzar) worked as a full-time cashier before switching career lanes and trying her hand at stripping at the age of 19.

5. Lady Gaga

Lady Gaga was just trying to get by before she got her big break in the music industry. She worked as a waitress in a restaurant in New York, and for her, the job was somewhat similar to performing. "I told everybody stories, and for customers on dates, I kept it romantic. It's kind of like performing," she shares in an interview.

He may be the mastermind behind high-end sneaker collab Yeezy, but Kanye West had his fair share of humble beginnings in fashion. When he was 15, Kanye was a part-time employee at fashion retailer Gap. "Even though I worked at the Gap, I didn't get enough hours to get a discount because I was a part-time employee, because I went to high school," he says in an interview with Paper.
